Part 2. The Conclusive, Fact Based, Scientifically Proven Evidence that Cannabis is one of the Most Efficacious Natural Anti-Nausea Aids on the Planet

To give context I want to explain thoroughly my process of this three part blog post series. In the first blog post I went into explicit detail on how there has been a history of systematic disinformation of lies that has led to cannabis’s current state as a schedule one drug; citing specific sources of the disinformation pushed largely by the US government.
This current blog post is explained in the subtitle and the third installment will be articles in favor of the idea that CHS is caused by cannabis alone and how baseless the claims for CHS are.
The first study that I found was from the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. In which said study was performed on 866 people, the following quote is taken directly from the study:
By 1 hour postconsumption, 96.4% of people had experienced symptom relief”
The following excerpts are from the California Business Journal:
Anandamide, a cannabinoid that is produced naturally in the body, THC, and several synthetic cannabinoids can block the 5-HT3 receptors in the area of the brain that controls vomiting and that by blocking 5-HT3 receptors in this part of the brain, cannabinoids help to control nausea and vomiting.
Cannabinoids work on presynaptic CB1 receptors to decrease the release of serotonin into the synapse, which inhibits a nauseous and/or vomiting response. CBD can be used to reduce binding effects on 5-HT3 receptors, thus inhibiting a nauseous and/or vomiting response.
The next excerpt is from leafly.com:
“Nabilone and dronabinol work by blocking the binding of serotonin and dopamine, both of which are associated with CINV, at receptor sites. Some of the body’s endocannabinoid receptors exist within emetic reflex pathways, making them a promising target for managing CINV. The dorsal vagal complex (DVC) in the brainstem is the overall regulator of emesis (nausea/vomiting), and it is responsible for communication between signals in the blood (like chemotherapy) and the nerve cells that initiate emesis. The DVC and gastrointestinal tract have endocannabinoid receptors, and all have shown to exhibit anti-emetic responses when the receptors are activated by ?9-THC.“
I could go on and on with specific excerpts from multiple sources but I wanted to choose three different ones that are well rounded. The first is a medical journal, the second a business journal and the third a cannabis information website.
What is important to note is the level of specificity on the science of exactly how cannabis works as a anti-nausea aid. God is in the details.
In the third installment of this blog post series I will reference the information and sources in favor of CHS caused by cannabis alone. I mentioned earlier that they are baseless, a more pointed description might be that they are complete and utter Reefer Madness bullshit.
